Ahhhh...a break from the big city!  This adorable bungalow, built in 1925 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, has been lovingly updated with modern amenities while also maintaining its historic charm.  Numerous windows throughout the cottage offer abundant natural light and pretty views of the serene countryside.  Rooms are comfortably furnished with a mix of antiques & modern pieces. Relaxation opportunities abound: enjoy a beautiful Texas sunset from the front porch swing & rockers; dine al fresco under the stars under backyard pergola; soak in the cast iron clawfoot tub; or pack a picnic & fishing rods and head to Lake Fayette just down the road!

While enjoying your stay here, explore the many area attractions including art galleries, restaurants, wineries, and the nearby Lake Fayette (just 6 miles from the Swedish Cottage and well-known for excellent bass fishing).  The world-renowned "Antique Weeks" take place twice per year (Spring & Fall) in Fayetteville and in the surrounding quaint towns. Warrenton and Round Top are both a short, scenic drive away (10 and 15 minutes, respectively).

In addition, the annual MS150 bike race rolls directly past The Swedish Cottage on their way to La Grange. Book a fun weekend and cheer on the riders!

Fayetteville and surrounding areas offer numerous events and activities throughout the year...there is never a shortage of things to do, see or eat!

The Cottage has a lovely landscaped yard with pretty views of neighboring fields.

Two beautiful pecan trees; fig trees and numerous rose bushes; covered pergola for al fresco dining under the stars or just taking in a lovely Texas sunset while relaxing on the swing.
